"The Saint-Patern church is located at the corner of rue de la Fontaine and rue Saint-Patern, replacing an old 10th century building that housed the relics of Saint Patern, the first bishop of the bishopric of Vannes and one of the seven founding saints of Brittany.

This first building destroyed by the Normans had been replaced in the 11th century by a Romanesque building which saw its tower collapse in 1721 and the rest of the church 5 years later. The current church was built by the architect Olivier Delourme Vannet from 1727 to 1772 (the nave) and 1826 (the tower).

The stained glass windows of the 1737 choir were replaced in 1882 and again in 1918. The window of the north door, "Christ surrounded by eight children", was donated by the Lehelier family of Léhélec in 1923.

We can admire 6 altarpieces, including the altarpiece of Sainte-Parenté (northern transept) and that of Saint-Isidore (southern transept) dating back to the 18th century. The altarpiece of the Resurrection of Christ, in the depths of the choir enlarged in 1925, dates from 1744. The pulpit to preach is from 1813.

The last restoration of 2006 and 2007 consolidated the building, brought stalls of the 17th, and enhanced the statue of the Child Jesus of Prague. "
