Nejvyšší bod okresu leží v obci patrí Horní Lhota v severovýchodním výbežku Nízkého Jeseníku na kopci zvaným Úhorky (404 m), kterému se však nerekne v okolí Ostravy jinak než Vankuv kopec. Je znám široko daleko jako lyžarská sjezdovka s vleky. Dá se k nemu dojet dokonce i tramvají c. 5 z Poruby do Zátiší, odkud je to asi 10 minut pešky až k spodní stanici vleku.
The highest point of the district lies in the village of Horní Lhota in the northeastern outskirts of Nízký Jeseník on a hill called Úhorky (404 m), which is not mentioned in the vicinity of Ostrava other than Vanek's Hill. It is known far as the ski slope with lifts. It can be reached even by tram no. 5 from Poruba to Zátiší, from where it is about 10 minutes walk to the lower station of the lift.
