Ten brzo podlehl hrabencinu kouzlu a puvabu.

The story of the abandonment of the platan is related to the countess Josefina of Canal, who inherited the estate of Bartošovice after his father Josef Emanuel Canal de Malabail in 1786.
After a short marriage with Count Pachta of Rajov and the birth of Karel's son, the Countess sank into social life. She lived mainly in Prague.
In 1797, Jiri Meinert, the Countess son, became the educator. He soon succumbed to the Countess's spell and charm. The Countess was also not indifferent to Meinert. Over time, Josef Meinert has worked on an accredited professor of ethics, aesthetics, art history, and philosophy.
In 1813 they both moved to the Bartošovice Chateau where they spent their time together. When Josefina died in 1833, Josef Meinert took this blow of fate. In the memory of her beloved wife, he had left a tree from under her window windows from far England, which was so strange, rare and unusual, like the Countess himself.
