In Budišovice the slate was mined and worked from around 1830. Near the quarry gradually formed a small factory complex, which was built in 1867 by the stone master Jan Wondruška.
The end of the factory occurred on May 8, 1940, when the fire burned the entire area. Mining and processing of slate in Budišovice has never been restored.
Just an old stone transformer in the imaginary center of the chateau proudly stands as a memorial to the famous Wondruk factory.
Creation date: 1867
Status: Converted
Current use: a small museum
