Il s'agit d'un bas-relief en bronze qui a été scellé en mai 2009, durant le festival Tintin, sur la façade du Palais des Congrès (ancienne Bourse du commerce).
La plaque commémore le troisième Festival Tintin, qui s'est tenu à Namur les 8 et 9 mai 2009.
Réalisé par Andy Jacobs, il reproduit une case de l'édition couleurs du Crabe aux Pinces d'or où Tintin rencontre pour la première fois le capitaine Haddock.
Offert à la ville de Namur par la société Moulinsart, il a été inauguré en présence de Nick et Fanny Rodwell, les ayants-droits d'Hergé.
Het is een bronzen bas-reliëf dat in mei 2009, tijdens het Kuifje festival, op de gevel van het “Palais des Congrès” (voormalige handelsbeurs) werd verzegeld.
De plaquette herdenkt het derde Kuifje Festival, gehouden in Namen op 8 en 9 mei 2009.
Gemaakt door Andy Jacobs, reproduceert het een case uit de kleureneditie van De krab met de gulden scharen waar Kuifje kapitein Haddock voor het eerst ontmoet.
Het werd aan de stad Namen geschonken door het bedrijf Moulinsart en ingehuldigd in aanwezigheid van Nick en Fanny Rodwell, de rechtsopvolgers van Hergé.
