Every year, the fountain is turned off and replaced by a big Christmas tree.

The Capitol Christmas Tree was once by the Capitol Building, but since the late 80's it has been moved to the designated center of the city. They do a great job with this area. They put lights up on all the trees and it is really nice to walk through.
