[DE] "Die neue Hungerburgbahn wurde von der Star-Architektin Zaha Hadid entworfen und im Dezember 2007 eröffnet.
Die Bahn setzte aufgrund der außergewöhnlich designten Haltestationen neue internationale Maßstäbe für moderne Architektur. Die Architektin ließ sich nach eigener Aussage von den Eis- und Schneelandschaften der Region inspirieren. Aus diesem Grund erinnern die vier Stationen - Congress, Löwenhaus, Alpenzoo und Hungerburg – heute an eisige Gletscherformen und lassen bereits im Herzen der Stadt, den nahegelegenen Berg spürbar werden.
Der Kontrast zwischen den geschwungenen, leichten Formen der Überdachung und den erdverbundenen, fest verankerten Betonsockeln, macht den besonderen Reiz der Gebäude aus und verleiht den Stationen eine nahezu magische Schwerelosigkeit."
