In the Belgian village of Zichen-Zussen-Bolder, the marlstone mountain Roosburg collapsed on Tuesday morning December 23, 1958. 18 people died at this disaster.

Until the moment of the disaster, more than 200 people worked in the mushroom nurseries in the Roosburg and almost as much in the supplying companies. Besides the loss of 18 lives, the village also had to contend with large unemployment.
