Maryhill Museum sits on plains that Lewis and Clark crossed on their return trip on April 22, 1806. Along with the museum's large collection of art, you will find an exhibit of local Native American artifacts that were written of in Lewis and Clark's Journals.
Outside you will find the Sculptural Overlook. As you wind along the trail, around and through the sculpture, there are interpretive signs that tell of the history of the area along with beautiful views of the Columbia Gorge.
The museum is open daily from 9-5, March 15th through November 15th. There is a fee of $7, I believe, to enter the museum, but visiting the Sculptural Overlook and grounds is free.
