This museum opened in 1897 and in 1911, it was described as having "the finest collection of the kind in Algeria." It's hosted in an interesting building which in itself worth a visit.
It has several collections but the archaeological artefacts taken from several Roman cities in what is now Algeria are the most important elements of the museum.
Taking pictures is allowed.
