"Sanctuary built in one of the oldest places of worship in the district of Bragança, where agro-pastoral and military components are mixed, and in the immediate vicinity of a Roman road. It is formed by a church that should date from the 16th century, but that underwent successive reforms, that were changing it, namely in the 17 century, when the chancel must have been built or renovated and the ship's window opened. It has a rectangular plan composed by nave and main chapel, narrower and higher, interiorly with axial and unilateral illumination. Main façade in apparent stonework, finished in gable truncated by double bells and torn by a portal in a downed arch, with a cut frame, between two cracks. The modinatura of the axial portal, as well as the closing of the bell with gable containing a smaller one smaller must have resulted of a change of end of 18/19 century, because in the Parochial Memories of 1758, it is alluded to the entire front, with two bells, and the door facing S. with a porch, but with three arches and not an architrave, as it currently has. The right lateral façade is torn by a sixteenth-century doorway, in a perfect back arch with wide staves, protected by a porch, and a crack in the top of the nave and main chapel, which has the back façade finished in gable."
