The fountain is located at the Designer Outlet McArthur Glen in Roermond, in the center of the food court and near the entrance/exit to the city center of Roermond.
The basin-less fountain consists of a paved area in octagonal shape. Inside of the octagon, 44 separate nozzles shoot water in varying height into the air. The nozzles are synchronized and vary their strength randomly. Kids love to play in the fountain by trying to run across without getting wet.
Likewise, the fountain is a compass rose: The octagonal shape is orientated such, that the corners point to the cardinal and intercardinal directions. The four cardinal directions have got lines embedded in the ground inside and outside of the octagon and are labeled with "N", "W", "S" and "E".
