The legendary buffalo hunter, who was actually William Frederick Cody, was in 1890 with his spectacular "Wild West Show" not only in Paris, Rome and Berlin as a guest. Even the Hamburg celebrated him like a pop star: For a week he made a guest appearance with his 200-member (!) Troupe of real Indians and cowboys in the city. He even had a proper bison herd. It came to tragic deaths, fierce quarrels - and in the end there was a great love. The Wild West in Hamburg!

Of course, the area built up for the show at that time no longer exists.
Today, the stadium of the football club FC St. Pauli stands here and the so called Dom (a funfair) is held three times a year.
