J'ai découvert ce pont couvert par hasard, à l'occasion d'une randonnée. Entre Volx et Villeneuve, il enjambe la rivière Le Largue.
Il semble récent, XXIe siècle et c'est étonnant car la France n'a pas du tout la tradition de ce type de construction.
Pourquoi entre ces deux communes ? J'ai cherché sur les sites internet de l'une et de l'autre sans trouver de réponse. J'ai cherché une plaque d'explication sans en trouver.
A ma connaissance il est le seul pont couvert de la Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur et je commence à bien connaître ma région.
C'est une curiosité et chaque fois que j'en parle, même à des amis locaux, ils sont toujours étonné d'apprendre l'existence de ce pont, à un endroit, certes, où on ne pas pas car c'est en dehors des routes (même si on n'est pas loin) et qu'un seul sentier passe par là.

I discovered this bridge covered by chance, during a hike. Between Volx and Villeneuve, it crosses the river Largue. It seems recent, 21st century and it is astonishing because France does not have any tradition of this type of construction.
Why between these two communes? I looked on the websites of one and the other without finding an answer. I searched for an explanation plate without finding any. To my knowledge, it is the only covered bridge in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region and I am beginning to know my region.
It's a curiosity and every time I talk about it, even to local friends, they are always surprised to learn about the existence of this bridge, in a place, certainly, where we do not because 'is off the road (even if you're not far away) and only one path goes through it.

Current Condition of Bridge: Almost new Description of Covered Bridge: A wooden bridge with steel cables stretched and crossed above and below. It measures approximately 30 m, 4 m high and 3 m wide. In the middle of the greenery, we only see it when we are almost in front.
