The José Zorrilla Municipal Stadium is a sports venue of municipal ownership, located in the city of Valladolid, Spain. It hosts the home games of Real Valladolid's first team and was inaugurated on February 20, 1982, with a capacity of 26,512 spectators. It has been the venue for three meetings of the '82 World Cup and of the final of the HM King's Cup in 1982. In rugby, it has hosted the finals of the Cup of HM the King held in 2016 and 2017.

The Real Valladolid Football Club is a Spanish football club organized as a sports joint-stock company in the city of Valladolid, in the autonomous community of Castilla y León, and which in the 2016/17 season played in the Second Division. It was founded on 20 June 1928, fruit of the merger of the two most important clubs in the city, the Club Deportivo Español and the Royal Union Deportiva The colors that identify the club are violet and white, used in the form of vertical stripes in their titular uniform since its foundation. Since 1982 it plays as a local at the José Zorrilla Stadium, owned by the municipality, and with capacity for 26 512 spectators.
Account in his palmares with a unique trophy of great relevance, the missing League Cup of 1983 / 84.Ha been runner-up in the Copa del Rey twice (1949/50 and 1988/89), and has participated in two editions of the UEFA Cup (1984/85 and 1997/98) and one of the also missing UEFA Cup Winners Cup (1989/90). In addition he also won the Federation Cup 52/53 and was runner-up in 44/45.6 His team, the Real Valladolid Club de Fútbol "B", currently plays in Segunda División B.
It is the most important football club in Castilla y León by palmares and history, with a total of 42 seasons in the First Division, 34 in the Second and 9 in the Third. Historically, it is the thirteenth best team in Spain. Two of its players have won the Pichichi Trophy, Manuel Badenes and Jorge da Silva, and ten have been international with the Spanish team.
