After the Muslim defeat in 1232 and the consequent distribution made by the victors of the territories of Mallorca, the Order of the Temple received by its participation in the conquest several properties on the island, including the lands of the Lluch farmstead. Although they retained direct ownership of these territories, the Templars ceded the use of this property to different settlers for their cultivation, in exchange for an annual tribute to the order. After the dissolution of the Order of the Temple in 1314 the properties they had in Lluc are transferred to the Order of San Juan del Hospital.
