Prince Mahidol Hall is on the grounds of Mahidol University. One of Thailand's leading universities. The Hall and University were both named by the previous King of Thailand (Rama 9) in honour of his father (Prince Mahidol). Prince Mahidol is also the grandfather of the King of Thailand (Rama 10).
The Hall is on the south-west corner of the grounds. It is large and imposing, with a sweeping architectural vision. The building is used for concert performances, both by the University itself and as a national venue. The Hall is also used for graduation ceremonies and all manner of displays of art and culture.
