One of the busiest general aviation fields in the area, FDK is home to many private fixed-wing and rotary craft, business and fractional-ownership jets, gliders, and even a few gyros! FDK is also the home of AOPA, the Aircraft Owners & Pilots' Association (http://www.aopa.org). FDK is located just outside the Washington-area ADIZ, and is the closest field to the Camp David prohibited zone. Therefore, many flights that are "interdicted" end up being "escorted" to FDK for full debriefing.
