"Le Domaine National de Chambord est un ensemble architectural et naturel unique en France qui est inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco depuis 1981. C’est aussi une réserve nationale de faune sauvage et de chasse qui héberge de nombreux animaux représentatifs de la faune de Sologne, dont les populations de sangliers et cervidés, et ce depuis 1947.
Environ 800 hectares sont accessibles toute l’année au public, pour profiter des sentiers pédestres balisés ou des pistes cyclables aménagées.

Le domaine est le plus grand parc forestier clos d’Europe avec :
* un mur long de 32 km pour clôturer quelques 5 440 hectares de superficie (c’est-à-dire la superficie de la ville de Paris intra-muros), mur ouvert par 6 portes
* 200 hectares de terres agricoles
* un village étendu sur 15 hectares
* 160 hectares de prairies à gibier
* le deuxième site nicheur français pour le balbuzar pêcheur (espèce protégée).

"The National Domain of Chambord is a unique architectural and natural ensemble in France which has been listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1981. It is also a national wildlife and hunting reserve which houses many animals representative of the fauna. Sologne, including wild boar and deer populations since 1947.
About 800 hectares are accessible all year round to the public, to take advantage of marked hiking trails or bike paths.

The estate is the largest enclosed forest park in Europe with:
