This bicycle maintenance station is located just outside the ranger station at Bemidji State Park. It has an air pump, wrenches, and other tools to fix almost every need as cyclists cruise several of the trails in this area. Striving to create the “Bike Friendliest State” the Pedal Minnesota initiative was responsible for purchasing a number of these stations in many of the state park. Bikes are also available to rent at the park.
A variety of paved bike trails meander through the park, among them the 17 mile Loop the Lake Trail which combines with roadways to circle Lake Bemidji. For those who want an extended biking experience. The Paul Bunyan State Trail is the longest trail in Minnesota, starting at Brainerd and running along former rail lines 112 miles to Bemidji, eventually leading to the state park.
