Marble survey mark block located on the Areios Pagos, a large rock outcropping near the base of the Acropolis in Athens.

The approximately 8" square block features a surveyor's cross-cut with plumb hole. It is in poor condition, having suffered the abuses of countless tourists over the years.

The block is accessible by climbing the rock-cut stairs, or by taking the gentler slopes to the north.
Visit Instructions:
1. A closeup photo of the waymark with your GPS, or (a part of) you in it, is required.
2. An area photo including the waymark in the view is highly appreciated.
