On the side of the 'Gothic-styled' Church is a more modern bronze plaque placed on the original Foundation Stone. It reads:

"BRIGHT UNITING
CHURCH
(Formerly Wesleyan, Methodist)
This Stone was Laid
and Dedicated
on March 10th 1884
[March 1998]"

Many of the Wesleyan (Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational) Churches merged into the Uniting Church of Australia, in 1977.

They have Family Worship Services at 9.30 am each Sunday, with Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month.
