The dove with the olive branch flies in the upper left corner of the marble tombstone, it is engraved in white and the olive branch is engraved with gold.
You can read the name of the deceased, as well as those of his parents still alive.
Established in 1806, it is the oldest cemetery in the city. Until then, Boulogne counted two great necropolises: that of the upper town (at the foot of Notre-Dame) and that of the lower town (around Saint-Nicolas).
The cemetery is open daily from 8am to 6pm.
