The garden was dedicated by the Bunbury RSL and the people of Bunbury as a perpetual Garden of Peace in the hope that people of the world would live together in harmony.
The dove is at the top of a plaque in the gardens which reads -
"On the 25th April 1992 the Bunbury R.S.L. together with the people of Bunbury dedicated this garden as a perpetual
Garden of Peace
In the hope that the people of the world would come together and live together in harmony as a world community.
