This sign is at the eastern entrance of Nowa Nowa, and has a few icons, typical of a tourist brochure, depicting: Scenic Views, Boating, Fishing, Hiking (the town is on the East Gippsland Rail Trail), and Nature.

With a rail line that closed in 1987, and only one saw mill remaining from the busier days of logging, this small town draws on everything it can to draw in more of the passing tourists. At the local general store there is an impressive rock and mineral collection, with a very impressive root system of a Messmate Gum tree on display.
