The footbridge is about 5 feet in length and consists of about 18 3-foot wide planks. There is a handrail on one side of the footbridge. It crosses over an unnamed creek on the Fairy Trail, which runs through very pretty woodlands on the Dunskey Estate.
"The woodland gardens lead off from the walled garden and take visitors on circular walks past the two lochs, through woods and across pastureland. The woodland gardens are home to rhododendrons, which are at the best in early summer when complimented by carpets of bluebells. These woodland gardens were planted with exotic trees and shrubs such as azaleas and Thuja plicata trees with their curiously fruity scented foliage. There are plenty of kissing gates and small bridges in the woodlands for the most delightful stroll."
