En This church in Haringe has romanic roots which can be seen from the round arches, the crossing tower made of ironstone and the crypt that was uncovered during the restoration of 1976. The organ was built by the famous organ builder Van Peteghem form Gent in 1778 and is decorated with wood carving by Elshoecht from Bergues (F)
NL De trots van de Sint-Martinuskerk in Haringe is ongetwijfeld het orgel. Het orgel is een van de grootste en biedt nog steeds onderdak aan zomerse orgelconcerten. Op een boogscheut afstand van elkaar bevinden zich in de streek rond Poperinge twee kerken gewijd aan de heilige Sint-Martinus, één in Haringe en één in Roesbrugge. Toch ligt de geschiedenis van beide kerken ver uiteen. De oorspronkelijke kerk in Haringe situeert zich rond de 11de - 12de eeuw, maar brandde meermaals af op enkele overblijfselen na. In 1308 werd de kerk herbouwd, maar moest daarna nog renovaties en restauraties ondergaan, onder andere omwille van de Beeldenstorm halfweg de zestiende eeuw.
FR Cette église de Haringe est d'origine romane. Les arcs en plein cintre, la croisée du transept enalios et la crypte, excavée lors des travaux de rénovation vers 1976 en sont les preuves vivantes. L'église contient un orgue historique (1778) construit par le fameux facteur d'orgues Van Peteghem de Gent; l'instrument est orné de sculptures sur bois réalisés par Elshoecht de Bergues.
