More and more people use banking online. As a result, many bank buildings are no longer needed anymore. Also this building was no longer necessary.
The building was sold to an entrepreneur who turned it into an hotel. The hotel works all according to a self service concept. The bakery on the other side of the street offers breakfast.
You can have lunch and dinner at one of the three restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The "tree" in front of the hotel is equipped with a screen with information about Laren.
It is made in one piece from an old tree out of the neighbourhood. Master-shriner René Bruns made this beautiful piece of art.
