The building has the initials ER VII within a wreath and surmounted by a crown carved above its entrance. Next to ythe entrance it has a cash dispenser and two post boxes, one for local deliveries and another for everywhere else.

It underwent modernisation in 2015 and according to Jersey Post's website "The new look and feel Broad Street Post Office in St Helier was officially unveiled by His Excellency, the Lieutenant Governor, Sir John McColl on Tuesday 24th November 2015.

It may be more than 100 years old but Broad Street post office is unquestionably now a 21st century environment.

The refurbished post office offers customers more and improved services and space in a very bright and modern interior.

The new retail space ‘The Post Shop’ offers a wide range of items including cards, envelopes and other essentials, as well as an exciting new range of Jersey Post branded items such as pens, pencils, notebooks, and mugs. Other new services include booths for printing photos or producing passport pictures and multiple self-service machines.

We have also created an area within Broad St where we have brought in a local designer, Charlotte Langley from LoveBird Gifts. This unique collection of Jersey themed knick-knacks has been designed by Charlotte herself and is now on sale in Broad St PO." link
