EN: The suspension bridge over the lowest part of the Massa Gorge connects the hamlet of Hegdorn with Bitsch. The bridge is 40 meters long and 120 cm wide. It was built in 2016 and replaced a dilapidated conventional bridge from 1918.
The bridge can be reached with a simple hike from Hegdorn or Bitsch. It is not to be confused with the suspension bridge over the upper part of the Massa Gorge between Belalp with Riederalp, which is 124 meters long and requires about five hours of hiking time.
DE: Die Hängebrücke über den untersten Teil der Massaschlucht verbindet den Weiler Hegdorn mit Bitsch. Die Brücke ist 40 Meter lang und 120 cm breit. Sie wurde 2016 erbaut und ersetzte eine baufällige konventionelle Brücke aus dem Jahr 1918.
Die Brücke ist mit einer einfachen Wanderung von Hegdorn oder Bitsch zu erreichen. Sie ist nicht zu verwechseln mit der Hängebrücke über der oberen Teil der Massaschlucht zwischen Belalp mit Riederalp, die 124 Meter lang ist und rund fünf Stunden Wanderzeit benötigt.
