Every year, on July 14th, the town hall of Boulogne-sur-Mer offers the inhabitants of the city and its surroundings a superb fireworks display to celebrate the national holiday.
The fireworks will be fired at 11pm from the cliff and this year accompanied by music from the USA.
It was in Boulogne-sur-mer that General PERSHING landed on June 13, 1917, at the head of the American expeditionary force, symbolizing by this gesture the entry into the war of the United States of America alongside the Allies.
The best place to enjoy the show is the esplanade of the National Center of the Sea, at the foot of the cliff.

Tous les ans, le 14 juillet, la mairie de Boulogne-sur-mer propose aux habitants de la ville et des environs, un superbe feu d'artifice pour fêter la fête nationale.
Moment toujours très attendu, le feu d’artifice sera tiré à 23h depuis la falaise et accompagné cette année des musiques des USA.
En effet c’est à Boulogne-sur-mer que le général PERSHING débarqua le 13 juin 1917 à la tête du corps expéditionnaire américain, symbolisant par ce geste l’entrée en guerre des Etats-Unis d’Amérique aux côtés des Alliés.
Le meilleur endroit pour profiter du spectacle est l'esplanade du centre national de la mer, aux pieds de la falaise.
