Port Macquarie City Council has allowed painting of the boulders on the 'training wall' on the city side of Hastings River; with one being painted with a "Kilroy".

This large but squat boulder has largely been painted white by a group that has come on an annual 'pilgrimage' (or holiday) to Port Macquarie. It seems that they have been here yearly since 2008.
While THE words, "Kilroy Was Here" are missing, the painted brick wall, the shape of the head (with a tuft of hair), nosing hanging over the edge of the wall, and the finders resting on top of the wall left me in NO doubt that this is a true one!
My last one that I had seen was back in High School, done with chalk.
