Cette pierre est un petit édicule carré, environ de quatre mètres de hauteur, en haut duquel est aménagé une niche décorée d’une peinture représentant saint Martin en habit épiscopal. Cette niche est fermée par une grille ajourée. La peinture récente est plutôt naïve. Ce reposoir marquerait traditionnellement un lieu où aurait aimé se reposer et prier saint Martin lors de ses trajets entre Tours et Candes.
This stone is a small square edifice, about four meters high, at the top of which is arranged a niche decorated with a painting representing St. Martin in episcopal habit. This niche is closed by a perforated grid. The recent painting is rather naive. This resting place would traditionally mark a place where it would have liked to rest and to pray Saint Martin during its journeys between Tours and Candes.
