The animal-powered mills, which were driven by oxen, were used on dwellings where the exhibition did not permit the operation of a windmill.

They were abandoned at the end of the 19th century to be replaced by steam engines.

Les moulins à bêtes, mus par des boeufs, étaient utilisés sur les habitations où l'exposition ne permettait pas l'exploitation d'un moulin à vent.

Ils furent abandonnés à la fin du 19ème siècle pour être remplacés par des machines à vapeur.
