[FR] En 1754, le prince-évêque Joseph-Guillaume Rinck de Baldenstein fait un séjour au Château de Coeuve. Il assiste à la fonte de la cloche de l'église et y contribue de ses deniers. En 1755, il fait construire au village une nouvelle fontaine dont il surveille lui-même les travaux. Il est probable qu'il s'agisse des lavoirs..... Ces lavoirs sont alimentés par une source. Installés au milieu ud XVIIIe siècle, ils ont été rénovés une première fois en 1894. Les bassins de lavage en pierre sont en partie abrités par toits de tôle soutenus par sur supports en fonte. On y trouve une plaque commémoratives de 894 pour Léon Henzelin, promoteur de la construction des nouvelles fontaines. Les Lavoirs sont classés monument historique en 1973. Ils ont été restaurés, ainsi que toute la place, en 1999, à l'initiative du maire du moment, Michel Probst.
[EN]In 1754, Prince-Bishop Joseph-Guillaume Rinck of Baldenstein made a stay at the Chateau de Coeuve. He witnessed the melting of the bell of the church and contributed money. In 1755, he built a new fountain in the village, and supervised the work himself. It is probable that these are the laundries ..... These laundries are fed by a source. Settled in the middle of the 18th century, they were first renovated in 1894. The stone wash basins are partly sheltered by sheet metal roofs supported by cast iron supports. There is a commemorative plaque of 894 for Leon Henzelin, promoter of the construction of the new fountains. Les Lavoirs are classified as a historic monument in 1973. They were restored, as well as the whole square, in 1999, on the initiative of the mayor of the moment, Michel Probst.
