The main feature of this firehouse is the tall look-out tower above it.

"Yangon Central Fire Station

This is one of the oldest buildings in the city retaining its
original use. The high water tower with its panoramic view served
as an early warning system for fires. Myanmar's first fire
engines replaced horse-drawn carts in 1913.
