The Copenhagen Court House is a historic building located on Nytorv in Copenhagen, Denmark. Originally built as a combined city hall and courthouse, it now serves as the seat of the District Court of Copenhagen.
After the fire, it was decided to build a combined city hall and courthouse at Nytorv, at a site previously occupied by the Royal Orphanage built in 1728. The project also included a jailhouse.

The Courthouse Annexe in “Slutterigade” (“prison street”) was built in 1805-1816 as a prison. It is attached to the main building by two large arches. It was rebuilt in 1904 and again in 1942 – 44, when it was converted in order to house courtrooms and chambers
