The Jubilee Clock which had stood for 126 years at the junction of Victoria Street and Loch Promenade in Douglas was moved in 2013 to a new plinth nearby.

The clock to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee was manufactured by Walter Macfarlane & Co at the Saracen Works in Glasgow. It was donated to Douglas Corporation by local Advocate George William Dumbell in 1887 and has been an important landmark in Douglas ever since.
An identical clock using the same castings, the 'Hastings Clock' which was erected in Rotherham in 1912. The Clock originally had a horse trough around its base and featured a drinking fountain below a plaque of Queen Victoria. The Horse trough was removed long before the clock was removed but the drinking fountain is still visible on the clock today although no longer a working fountain.
The original clock mechanism used a weight descending in the column whilst the four clock faces were lit by small gas jets. All the mechanisms of the clock are now electrical.
The Clock was moved in 2013 as part of the first phase of a regeneration scheme which involved road improvements between the Isle of Man Sea Terminal Building and Victoria Street in Douglas.
