Der Pavillon wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts im klassizistischen Stil errichtet und stand ursprünglich im Gerhardschen Garten (Wikipedia-Link: (
visit link) Im Jahr 1908 wurde der Garten für eine Neubebauung aufgegeben und der Pavillon wurde an seine heutige Stelle verlegt.
Der Pavillion besteht aus Holz und trägt ein kupfernes Dach. Im Inneren ist das Dach bemalt. Im Zentrum der Bemalung liegt eine goldene Sonne. Passend dazu wurde der Pavillon an seinem damaligen Standort im Gerhardschen Garten auch als Sonnentempel bezeichnet.

The pavilion was built in the second half of the 18th century in the classicist style and was originally located in the "Gerhardschen Garten" (Wikipedia link: (
visit link) In 1908 the garden was abandoned for a new building and the pavilion was moved to its present location.
The pavilion is made of wood and has a copper roof. Inside, the roof is painted. In the center of the painting is a golden sun. In keeping with this, the pavilion was also called the "Sonnentempel" at its former location in the "Gerhardschen Garten".
