Jean Guiton, born July 2, 1585 in La Rochelle, baptized at the Saint-Yon temple, and died March 15, 1654 is a French politician, shipowner and military. He worked as a shipowner, then became mayor of La Rochelle. Like many notables of the Rhône, Jean Guiton - Huguenot - is one of the figures of Protestantism of the seventeenth century.

Jean Guiton, né le 2 juillet 1585 à La Rochelle, baptisé au temple Saint-Yon, et mort le 15 mars 1654 est un homme politique, armateur et militaire français. Il exerce la profession d’armateur, puis devint maire de La Rochelle. Tout comme de nombreux notables rochelais, Jean Guiton – huguenot – est l'une des figures du protestantisme du XVIIe siècle.
