The Millennium Arboretum, also known as Dhoon Arboretum, was established as one of Maughold Parish's Millennium Projects.

The route to the viewing point is well signposted through the Arboretum and is marked by the presence of the Jubilee Compass which was created to mark Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

The Viewing Point afford magnificent views of the Parish, Dhoon Glen, and on a clear day the hills of Cumbria in the northwest of England.
