The Hard Rock Cafe opened in 1994 in Cozumel near the Punta Langosta Cruise Ship Pier. It has been moved to its current site, in front of the Cozumel Ferry Pier in December 2014. A sign on the wall of the building at the entrance of the Hard Rock says it is the smallest in the world.

The sign reads: "This is it - The smallest Hard Rock in the world."
