The helicopter Landeplatz is located on the outskirts of Morro Jable in the immediate vicinity of the harbor.

"Over the harbor, on a hill with excellent views, is located the current heliport that is used for emergency medical care and rescue in the south of Fuerteventura. The most frequent device is the helicopter-ambulance or 'advanced support helicopter' of the SUC, Emergency Service Canario, which is based at Gran Canaria airport and entered service in 1994. Currently the model operated is an Agusta A109 Power de Inaer, with a medical, nurse, pilot and co-pilot, although this last one only flies at night time, since the service is H24 towards heliports like this one, with nocturnal beaconing, since done the helicopters leave to the main hospitals of Las Palmas Of Gran Canaria or to Puerto del Rosario, 90 kilometers away."
