Raad ny Foillan is the Isle of Man's coastal footpath was created to mark the Island's "Heritage Year" celebrations in 1986. It follows the coast wherever it can. The footpath only uses public roads when there is no alternative.
At Glen Maye on the west coast of the Island the river has cut a deep ravine and so the path descends the cliffs to utilise this foot-bridge which consists of wooden boards and handrails supported on metal girders.
