Sometimes a bird, sometimes an old man - depending on the light and the season. Today this burl, on a local trail we walk often, was the old man.

Spent a lot of time while hiking the trails looking for the original LC Simulcrum but having finally found one it got us enjoying looking for others. This is one, close to home, on a trail that we walk often with the dogs.
It depends on the light what you see and whether you look upright or upside down - it's sometimes a bird but today it was the old man with the long nose. I flipped the picture so you can see it more clearly.
