Hanchurch Hills are located on the outskirts of Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent. This large, undulating wooded area has a wide network of paths that are popular with both walkers and mountain bikers. There are parking and picnic areas located at the end of Harley Thorn Lane near to Hanchurch Water Tower. (visit link)

The hills look over the western side of Stoke-on Trent. Many landmarks such as; Stoke City Football bet365 Staduim, the Sideway incinerator chimney, the Screwfix factory, high rise flats in Hanley as well as the sprawl of houses, factories and churches can be seen. On a clear day Mow Cop towards Cheshire and the Roaches near Leek can be seen in the distance.
