County of remains: Hardeman County
Location of remains: US-64 (W. Main t.), Lee Ola Roberts Library grounds, Whiteville
Building built: 1931
Building razed: Unknown
Remains restored: 2011

I asked the library director about these remnants, but she ignored the question and only wanted to talk about the black high school (Allen-White High School) and the Black funeral home in town.
So, all I have to go on is the corner stone and the plaque.
I could find no footprint on the web.

Cornerstone says the school was built in 1931, I know from an old newspaper story it had a graduating class in 1953, but no clue on when it closed.
The façade was restored in 2011, and the school mascot was the lions. Teacher at the middle school, whos mascot is also the lions, told me it was taken from the high school to the elementary school, but had no other information on the high school.
