"The Old Catholic Church of the Czech Republic consists of the Czech parishes in full communion with the Union of Utrecht of the Old Catholic Churches. The church is also a member of the National Ecumenical Council, the World Council of Churches and the Conference of European Churches. The official publication of the community is Communio.
In 1991, Bishop Dušan Hejbal was elected to head the church. He was consecrated on September 27, 1997. In 2003, the church began ordaining women to the diaconate."

Church of the Transfiguration in Varnsdorf is one of Old Catholic Churches in Czech republic. Construction of the church in the Neo-Romanesque style was launched in 1873 and in October 1874 it was possible to install the tower top. The tower were equiped by four bells. On 27 December 1874 the church was inaugurated. In the years 1897-1997 was the seat of the bishop of the Old Catholic Church.
