We are a small country church with a large family atmosphere. We love the Lord, love each other, love to hear the Word of God preached plainly, and would LOVE to meet you! So come on out to Standish for a visit.
Our Covenent
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God, joyfully and solemnly enter into a covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.
We engage, therefore, by the grace of God, to live together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church in community witness, holiness and comfort, to promote its prosperity and doctrines, to support the ministry and expense of the church, the relief of the poor and the spread of the gospel.
We further engage to seek God as individuals and as families, bringing up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord; to seek the salvation of our relatives and associates; to watch over one another in Christian love; aiding each other in sickness and distress, praying for each other, showing Christian courtesy and kindness to all in word and deed, being slow to take offense, always ready to reconcile; and to zealously assist each other in advancing the cause of Christ.
The Church
We Believe that a local church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by a covenant of faith and by the fellowship of the gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His word; that its officers are pastors, deacons and deaconesses whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in the Bible.

We believe that the true mission of the church is the faithful proclamation of the gospel of our Lord to all men as we have opportunity.
We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self government, free from the inheritance of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations; and that the one and only superintendent is Christ, through the Holy Spirit; that it is scriptural for the churches to cooperate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the gospel; that each local church is the sole judge of the measure and method of its cooperation in all matters of membership, policy, government, discipline or benevolence, the will of the local church being final.
The church structure is very traditional and contains a bell tower with what looks to be the original bell inside. Although I couldn't obtain any history on the church, my guess is the church was once denominational.
