The kiosque à musique de Cannes is located on the allées de la Liberté-Charles-de-Gaulle, between the Félix-Faure street and the promenade of La Pantiero, next to the Hôtel-de-ville.

The kiosk was built by Louis Hourlier, architect and municipal councilor. Inaugurated on 14 July 1880 by Eugene Gazagnaire, mayor of Cannes, it is still used.
Designed in the nineteenth century, at a time when electric amplification of sound did not exist, its acoustics were designed so that the sound goes up to the roof and is sent back to the spectators.
The kiosk is used annually on the occasion of the festival of music by the orchestre d'harmonie and the orchestra of students of the conservatory.
